SACRED CALENDAR OF MOON & SUN

Yamasee Nation Calendar

"Old roots strengthen new paths."

The Yamasee people, like all sophisticated civilizations, organized life around the rhythms of the natural world. This calendar reclaims that ancestral wisdom — integrating documented lunar phases with Yamasee cultural principles and the strategic milestones of nation restoration.

The Six Cycles of the Yamasee Year

1

RETURN OF LIGHT

January – Early February

Moon of Endurance

Ancestral Teaching: The Oak in Winter

In the coldest season, the oak stands firm because its roots reach deep into the earth. So too must we stand rooted in our truth. The light returns a little more each day — patience and endurance bring the dawn.
